1. Introduction
Sirox’s LAP Hub (“the Hub”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at thelaphub.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using the Hub you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
The Hub is a fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Wiseness Game Online International LTD, the developer of Last Asylum: Plague, or by any publisher of the game.
2. Using the Hub Without an Account
Most of the Hub works without signing in, and when you are signed out nothing you enter leaves your device. Calculator inputs, building levels, filters and your language choice are saved in your browser’s local storage and are never transmitted to us.
Clearing your browser storage deletes this data permanently. We hold no copy of it and cannot recover it.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account and Sign-In
The Hub uses Supabase for authentication. You may sign in with a third-party provider or with a one-time code sent to your email address.
When you sign in with a provider (Google, Apple, and others we may add), we receive from that provider:
- Your display name
- Your email address, where the provider supplies one
- Your profile picture, where the provider supplies one
- The provider’s user ID for your account
Some providers do not supply an email address — for example a Facebook account registered to a phone number, or a Kakao account where email sharing is not available. In that case we hold no email address for you.
When you sign in with a one-time code, we hold the email address you entered and the timestamps of your sign-ins. We never store passwords. There is no password to reset or lose, because the Hub does not use them.
3.2 Data Synced to Your Account
What you enter into the Hub’s tools is kept in a save — things like building and research levels, filters, account benefits, calculator inputs and results you have named and kept. You may hold more than one, for example a main and an alt.
Saves stay on your device until you send one to your account. Signing in does not by itself sync anything: you choose which saves go, one at a time, and only those are copied to our servers. A save you have not sent has never left your device. Your account page lists exactly what your account is currently holding.
This is game progress data, not personal information. It is stored in a table protected by row-level security, meaning the database itself enforces that only your account can read or write your rows.
3.3 Support Messages
When you send a message through the Hub’s contact form, we record:
- The email address you provide
- The subject and message you write
- The page you were on when you wrote it
- Your language setting
- Your IP address, retained to prevent abuse of the form
- Your account ID, if you were signed in
The message is stored and also forwarded to our support mailbox by email.
3.4 Donations
Donations are processed entirely by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or any payment details. We receive only the confirmation and amount that Stripe reports to us.
3.5 What We Do Not Collect
The Hub uses no analytics, no tracking cookies, no advertising, and no error reporting or crash-tracking service. We do not build a profile of your browsing, we do not track you across sites, and we do not sell data — because we do not have data of that kind to sell.
Your saves, your language choice, a note of which sign-in method you last used on that device, and your session token are held in your browser’s local storage. While a sign-in code is outstanding we also use session storage to remember which address it was sent to, so that leaving the page to check your inbox does not lose it — that is cleared once you sign in, and in any case when the tab closes.
The Hub also installs a service worker, which keeps a copy of the site’s own files so pages load quickly and work offline. It stores the Hub’s code and images, never your data. None of this storage is used to identify or track you.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use what we collect to:
- Sign you in and keep you signed in
- Save your tool data to your account and restore it on your other devices
- Show your name and picture on your account page
- Read and reply to messages you send us
- Limit abuse of the contact form
- Receive and acknowledge donations
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing email.
5. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services needed to run the Hub:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery
- Resend — delivery of sign-in codes and support notifications
- Microsoft 365 — the mailbox that receives support messages
- Stripe — donation processing
- Your sign-in provider (Google, Apple, and others we may add) — authentication
Each of these is an independent company with its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
6. Where Your Data Is Held
The Hub is operated from the United States and your data is processed there. If you use the Hub from elsewhere — and the Hub is offered in sixteen languages, so we expect you might — your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Connections use HTTPS. Database access is governed by row-level security policies. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. How Long We Keep It
- Synced saves — kept while your account exists. You can delete a single save from the saves page, or every save at once from your account page. Either removes only what is stored on our servers; what is on your device is left untouched, and stops syncing until you send a save to your account again.
- Support messages — kept so we have a record of what was asked and answered.
- Account records — kept while your account exists.
You can delete your account yourself from the account page. It goes immediately rather than on a schedule, and takes every save stored against it and the record of how you sign in with it. Support messages you have already sent us stay, no longer attached to any account; email us if you want those removed as well.
8. Your Rights
You may ask us to:
- Access — give you a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct — fix anything inaccurate
- Delete — remove your account and its data
- Export — provide your data in a portable format
Two of these need no asking. You can delete your data yourself — one save from the saves page, every save at once from the account page, or the whole account from the account page — and you can export any save to a file from the saves page, which you are free to keep or import elsewhere. For anything else, email us at [email protected].
If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
9. Children
The Hub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to say so.
